CALLITSIS SHIP MANAGEMENT S.A. forms a part of “Callitsis Group of Companies” a Callitsis family group, established back in the year 1905. Group’s activities are all within shipping sector and consist of: owners, managers, chartering/SnP brokers, freight forwarders, tramp and liner agents. The company is managed and run by the Callitsis family fourth generation from Callitsis building a seven floor modern construction situated in the heart of Piraeus.

CALLITSIS SHIP MANAGEMENT S.A. is acting purely as manager for Callitsis own tonnage and as operator for vessels entrusted to the company by third parties. Since the year 1970 the company has managed about 40 ships being bulk carriers, container vessels, liner vessels and one OBO trading world wide. During the period 1975/1995 the US mega container carrier Sea Land Services Inc. had entrusted the management of half of their fleet to Callitsis.

The group is well known amongst the major charterers with whom direct contacts are established for chartering, where some of these companies are: Cargil, Bunge, Louis Dreyffus, Noble, Transgrain, Ameropa, Arcelormittal, Fednav, World Food Program, and others of the same caliber.
